Air Fryer Friday - French Fries

Updated: Jul 13, 2020

Happy Air Fryer Friday! We've tested out another Air Fryer recipe, this one is just in time for National French Fry Day on July 13th! Our recipe adapted from Sweet CS Designs.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 large or 2 medium Russet Potatoes

  • Dash olive oil

  • Sea salt and pepper, to taste

  • Favorite dipping sauce (we used a mayo/ketchup mixture)

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Slice the potatoes lengthwise into fries, we went thin with ours so they would end up being crispy.

  2. Next, place your cut fries in a nice cool water bath. Completely submerge the fries in water.

  3. Let fries sit one hour. This helps to remove excess starch and will help the fries crisp up. Change water halfway through if possible.

  4. After the hour of soaking, drain the water, place fries on a towel and pat dry. Make sure the fries are very dry (wet fries=soggy fries).

  5. Preheat Air Fryer to 375ºF

  6. Toss fries with a dash of olive oil, salt + pepper.

  7. Add fries to bottom of air fryer basket, making sure they are all on the same level (don't stack them on top of each other or you'll end up with soggy fries.)

  8. Cook 10-13 minutes, until crispy and golden brown. Shake halfway through.

  9. Serve hot and enjoy.
